Court granted injunctive relief allowing child to compete in Secondary School Athletics. Finding that child’s familial status changed following his adoption. The grant of this injunction resulted in the WVSSAC adoption rule being overturned after being interpreted wrongly by the WVSSAC for 19 years. Subsequently, the WVSSAC changed the rule to reflect the Court’s holding regarding family status.
